PRoMIS

About us

What we do

PRoMIS was commissioned by the Scottish Government in 2019 with the aim of promoting the psychosocial recovery of people affected by major incidents. Our focus is on adults, young people and children normally resident in Scotland who are affected by major incidents within Scotland, other parts of the UK or abroad.

PRoMIS will:

  • Work with NHS Boards and Social Care Partnerships to enhance their preparedness and response capabilities
  • Base our approach on the principles of Psychological First Aid (PFA), which is recognised internationally as best practice in promoting resilience following trauma exposure
  • Act as a single point of contact for health and social care practitioners to obtain advice, information and support in relation to the local delivery of evidence-based and best practice psychological interventions.

The National Wellbeing Hub is our first project.

Thank you for accessing the Hub. We hope you’ve found the support you’re looking for. We’d like to hear your feedback. Email us on hello@promis.scot.
