PSYCHOLOGICAL RESILIENCE HUB

Available to all NHS and HSCP staff, including care home staff working in the statutory, independent and third sectors in the Orkney area, and volunteers supporting health and social care services. The Hub is also open to the public, including children, and to Scottish Ambulance Service (SAS) staff based in Orkney.
Reciprocal arrangements are available for staff who would prefer to seek help through another Board.
A self referral form can be completed and followed by offer of telephone or face to face virtual appointment. Cases are triaged and allocated according to level of need and case complexity, and managed by clinicians with the appropriate skill set.

Chill Room provides a quiet space where staff can share worries, verbalise emotions or just sit quietly. Support leaflets and contact details can be found in the room.
Available to: any staff member at The Balfour who is feeling overwhelmed, upset or anxious due to Covid-19.
Location: Privacy Pod 1, behind Reception.

Accommodation for staff members if they have someone in their household who is considered high risk, and the staff member needs accommodation at short notice after call out / late working or if required to self-isolate.
